On Friday, the 13th of October, my friends, Cindy and Don Weber owners of Oddly Bewitching, asked if I could help at the Chillicothe Halloween Festival. Halloween and Friday the 13th all in one event, oh yeah! These two talented people make candles, handmade paper, and my favorite short pendulums.
Chillicothe feels as if it is a paranormal hotspot. With Hopewell Mounds, WW2 Camp Sherman, the Majestic Theater, and dead people under Water Street there is a lot of phenomena going on. So far, I do not have proof of dead people under Water Street but it feels very much like the deceased are there.
The festival itself hosted booths full of zombie face painters and my partial sugar skull was painted by the artist who does the zombie art at one of the area’s haunted houses. I can’t find the information and can not give him credit.
There were all types of fun booths. The zombie face painter and booth of the tall thin girl sat directly across the way from Oddly Bewitching.
The Headless Horseman made an appearance.
More ghost hunting trips are being scheduled.
